Adventure, engineered.
Africa Drone Solutions was registered in South Africa (2026/209415/07) to close a gap we kept running into ourselves: farmers, surveyors and outdoor operators were stuck dealing with one supplier for drones and a completely different one for trailers and camping gear — often paying “request a quote” prices with no published specifications to compare against.
We built this business around a simpler idea: put both categories under one roof, publish real specifications and real prices in Rand on every listing, and keep a person on the other end of the phone or WhatsApp who actually knows the equipment — not a script. We're based in 5 Hemingway Dr, Orkney, North West, 2619, South Africa, and we sell and deliver nationwide.
On the drone side, we work with DJI's agricultural, enterprise and consumer line-ups — from Agras spray drones for large-scale farming to Matrice enterprise platforms for surveying and inspection, down to lightweight Mini-series drones for hobbyists. On the outdoor side, we stock off-road caravans, camper trailers and canvas tents built for South African roads and weather. Every product listing states its real specifications, its manufacturer warranty term, and its price upfront.
Our current catalogue runs to 70 products across six categories, and it keeps growing as we vet and add new equipment.

How we source and prepare every order
Every product goes through the same four steps before it reaches you.
Sourcing
We only stock DJI's agricultural, enterprise and consumer lines, plus established trailer and tent manufacturers — Bushwakka, Outwell, Easy Camp, Falkson and F-Veldt. No grey-market imports.
Pre-dispatch checks
Drones are inspected and firmware-checked before they ship; trailers and tents are checked for structural and hardware faults before they leave our premises.
Warranty registration
Serial numbers are logged against the manufacturer's warranty terms at the point of sale, so a future claim never depends on you keeping hold of paperwork.
Packaging & handover
Drones and parts are couriered in protective packaging. Trailers arrive by dedicated vehicle transport with an in-person handover and walkthrough of the trailer's features.
How ordering, payment and delivery work
No surprises — here's exactly what happens from the moment you order to the moment your gear arrives.
You place your order
Browse the shop, add items to your cart and complete checkout with your contact and shipping details.
You pay the product total via PayFast
Checkout redirects you to PayFast to pay the product subtotal by card, EFT or Instant EFT — your card details are handled by PayFast, not stored on our servers. Shipping is calculated separately based on weight, dimensions and destination, and our team confirms that cost with you before dispatch. If a payment is cancelled, your order is saved and our team can help you arrange another payment method.
We dispatch your order
In-stock orders are dispatched within 48 hours (Monday–Friday) of payment clearing. Custom-built trailers and back-ordered drones have lead times quoted at the time of order, typically 2–6 weeks.
Your order is delivered
Standard delivery within South Africa takes 2–5 business days after dispatch via courier. Trailers are delivered by dedicated vehicle transport, with an in-person handover and a 30-minute orientation of the trailer's features. We also deliver to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, quoted per order.
Warranty & quality assurance
Every drone carries its manufacturer's warranty term (typically 12 months, extendable on eligible models). Every trailer carries a 3–5 year structural warranty on the chassis and suspension, plus a 2-year warranty on electrical components and fittings — both stated on the product page. Parts, batteries, accessories and tents carry the term shown in that product's own specification table, typically 3 months to 2 years.
To claim, email us with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or video if you have them. We assess the claim and confirm the next step — repair, replacement or refund — usually within 5 business days of receiving that information.
Covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, per each manufacturer's stated term
- Structural faults in trailer chassis, body and welds under the trailer's structural warranty
- Battery and electronics faults present from first use, reported within the warranty period
Not covered
- Crash, impact or water-ingress damage beyond the product's rated conditions
- Wear-and-tear items — tyres, canvas UV fading, propellers, consumable batteries after their rated cycle count
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs carried out by a third party

Why compliant, documented equipment matters
Drones and trailers are regulated equipment in South Africa. Here's why buying from a supplier who publishes the numbers protects you.
SACAA registration & remote pilot licensing
Commercial drone use in South Africa falls under South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) rules, which can require aircraft registration and a remote pilot licence depending on how you fly. We state each drone's category plainly on its product page so you know what applies before you buy — buy a grey-market unit elsewhere and you're often left to work that out alone.
GVM & tow-rating compliance
Every trailer listing states its tare weight, GVM and whether it's braked or un-braked — for example, several of our un-braked trailers are built to a 750 kg GVM specifically so no special EB towing licence is required. Tow the wrong trailer with the wrong licence or vehicle rating and you're liable, not us — so we publish the numbers upfront instead of burying them in a spec sheet you get after paying.
Warranty paperwork that's already done
Because we log every serial number against the manufacturer's warranty at the point of sale, a claim doesn't hinge on you having kept a receipt or registered the product yourself months later — it's already on file under your order.

Returns, in short
- You have 14 calendar days from your purchase date (not your delivery date) to request a return on unused items in original packaging.
- Email or WhatsApp us first to get a return authorization before sending anything back — unauthorized returns may be delayed or refused.
- If you simply changed your mind, you pay return shipping and your original shipping fee isn't refunded. If the fault is ours — damaged, defective or wrong item — we pay for collection and refund shipping too.
- Report damage within 48 hours of delivery with photos, or a wrong item within 14 days of purchase, and you get a full refund or replacement at no cost to you.
- Once we receive and inspect a returned item, your refund is issued within 14 business days.
- SACAA-registered or commercially-flown drones, and custom-built trailers once production has started, can't be returned unless faulty — stated on the product page where it applies.
